this one is a bit late

Citadel by John Ringo, second book in Troy Rising series, a re-read.

I like you just the way I am by Jenny Mollen, autobiography.

Just A Geek by Wil Wheaton

The Hot Gate by John Ringo, book three of Troy Rising

Star Wars: The Force Awakens novelization by Alan Dean Foster, a slight expansion on the movie, the book adds a few scenes or lines that may have been in the script but didn't make the final cut.

Just finished a re-read of Live Free or Die by John Ringo. Book 1 of the Troy Rising series. I have probably read this at least 6 or 7 times by now.

I am going to include some Graphic novels in this book post, part of the reason it has been longer since the last one.

Graphic Novels:
Ultimates Vol 1
Ultimates Vol 2
Ultimates 2 Vol 1: Gods and Monsters
Ultimates 2 Vol 2: Grand Theft America
Ultimates 3 Who Killed the Scarlet Witch

My personal feelings is that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is more closely related to the Ultimate Universe than the mainstream Marvel comics.

The Host by Stephenie Meyer
I had seen the movie based on this book on Netflix some months back. I enjoyed the movie, I found it very entertaining. I had been planning on reading the novel last year but I never got around to it. I finally got it on my Nook a little over a week ago and here we are. The book and the movie are very similar, there is much more depth to the book than the movie, more details about life.

This evening I finished reading The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. I had started it a while ago, but got distracted. I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series.

I finished reading The Magicians by Lev Grossman last night. It was interesting. The one thing I got out of it was someone really wanted to go to Narnia.

I just beat the Diablo III open beta with a level 9 Wizard. I may try another character later, but now I need to finish laundry and get ready for church.

I just got home from seeing The Pretty Reckless at the Brighton Music Hall (formerly Harper's Ferry). The show was amazing!!! The opening acts were A Thousand Horses & Runner Runner. They both did a great job as well. I will see about posting more along with some pictures tomorrow.

"Hey Jude" by The Beatles was the number one song on the day I was born. It spent 9 weeks at number one.

On a personal note, I can't stand the song "Hey Jude" by The Beatles.

Happy New year!

I had an extremely exciting new years eve last night. I was on my couch reading and fell asleep at approximately 10:30pm. I woke up at 1:00am and went to bed.

I hope everyone else had a more interesting time.

It's October 18th and it's snowing, the picture is the view of the parking lot out my window.

I think it's a little early for snow.

Your result for The Steampunk Style Test...

The Aristocrat

46% Elegant, 34% Technological, 40% Historical, 44% Adventurous and 34% Playful!

You are the Aristocrat, the embodiment of steampunk elegance and poise. For you, dressing steampunk is first and foremost about simply looking good, with accessories and details to follow. However, this does not mean that you ignore the demands of creating a “steampunk look.” Your outfits weave together a balance between technology and style, and between period accuracy and beautiful anachronism. While your fashion inspiration may come from anywhere across the Victorian social spectrum, you always find a way to make your outfit beautiful. You will probably be found in the clothes of the steam age elite simply because of the greater elegance available to them. Chances are you dress this way because you like it, and you would still dress in this manner even if steampunk was not a popular interest.

I must say I was a bit surprised by this result.

I watched the series finale of Battlestar Galactica last night.

I don't want to spoil anything but that is definitely the way to end a series.

I could have done without all the extra commercial interruptions though. There was no real reason to make the show run until almost 11:15pm except to run more commercials. It felt as if there were 2 minutes of show and then 3-4 minutes of commercials towards the end.

Of course some things were never really answered. Like Starbuck.
