Yesterday (Sunday) Tiger proved that he is a mighty hunter. He brought me a baby rabbit in the morning. Once again I told him no killing rabbits.
In the afternoon he brought me 2 mice. I don't mind him killing the mice. I just wish he would stay away from the birds and rabbits.

Are you happy now Beth?

I went to see X-Men: The Last Stand http://imdb.com/title/tt0376994 today.

I went to a matinee show that only cost $5. And the theatre wasn't even crowded with annoying little kids

I thought it was very entertaining. I am glad they finally made Kitty one of the X-Men. She was my favorite character in my early days reading the X-Men comic books. If you go to see it don't forget to stay until the end of the credits for an extra scene.

George McClellan
You scored 69 Wisdom, 78 Tactics, 57 Guts, and 40 Ruthlessness!
Like General McClellan, you're smart enough to know what tactical decisions to make. However, the problem with McClellan is that he could never sprout the balls to act on his information, and in the end, that's why Geoge McClellan is only a sidenote in the history books.

After graduating from West Point, he served with distinction in the Mexican War and later worked on various engineering projects, notably on the survey (1853-54) for a Northern Pacific RR route across the Cascade Range. Resigning from the army in 1857, he was a railroad official until the outbreak of the Civil War. In May, 1861, McClellan was made commander of the Dept. of the Ohio and a major general in the regular army. He cleared the western part of Virginia of Confederates (June-July, 1861) and consequently, after the Union defeat in the first battle of Bull Run, was given command of the troops in and around Washington. In November he became general in chief. The administration, reflecting public opinion, pressed for an early offensive, but McClellan insisted on adequate training and equipment for his army. In Mar., 1862, he was relieved of his supreme command, but he retained command of the Army of the Potomac, with which in Apr., 1862, he initiated the Peninsular campaign . The collapse of this campaign after the Seven Days battles was charged by many to his overcaution. In Aug., 1862, most of McClellan's troops were reassigned to the Army of Virginia under John Pope . After Pope's defeat at the second battle of Bull Run, McClellan again reorganized the Union forces, and in the Antietam campaign he checked Robert E. Lee's first invasion of the North. He was slow, however, to follow Lee across the Potomac and in Nov., 1862, was removed from his command.

I, Robot

I went to see the movie I, Robot last night. It was very enjoyable, even though it probably had Dr. Asimov spinning in his grave.

It had elements of his robot stories. The Three Laws of Robotics & the Frankenstein complex.

The stories that I saw in the movie were Isaac Asimov's "Robot Dreams" & "Little Lost Robot" & Jack Williamson's "The Humanoids"

I don't know if anyone else has read "The Humanoids", but if you have, I'm sure you know what part of the movie I am talking about.

Things have been fairly quiet these past few weeks.

I have been playing a lot of EverQuest. My main character is level 59.

I am in the process of re-reading Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson & Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein. These are 2 of my all time favorite books.

I bought the BTVS season 5 DVD box set, watched it over a 3 day period :) I had watched the whole season when it was first run, but when I watched the season finale I forgot to hit record on my vcr :(

I want to apologize for not updating in so long.

Shortly after my last journal entry I went to the Bahamas for a week.
I had a nice relaxing time there. I went to the beach and sat by the pool. At the beach I even went in the water. I didn't go in the pool at all.

I managed to lose only $7 in the casino over the course of the week. Considering that's all the money I put into the slot machines I feel I did quite well.

One evening we went to dinner at a restaurant named Pier One. At this restaurant they have shark feedings during the dinner hours. We were there long enough for 2 feedings. My father took some pictures of the sharks, but they are difficult to see as it was dark.

The food at all the places we went to eat was very tasty and filling.

The plane rides down & back were uneventful.

Since returning I have beeen playing Everquest about 4 nights a week. I managed to get my Magician to level 58. Time to look for a new hunting ground.

Thanksgiving was very quiet, only eight people for dinner (including myself). I can remember having 16 or more people in for dinner.

During the snowstorm last weekend we recieved about 16 inches of snow. Saturday was mostly heavy, wet snow and sunday light fluffy snow. Unfortunatly the family christmas party scheduled for December 7th had to be cancelled due to the storm.

OK time to set the table for supper. I'll try to update more often.
